Arrow is our new addition to the fleet. Richard sailed her back from Geraldton, Western Australia. See our story, photos and video clips of her trip on “Arrow’s Voyage”.

Arrow is a 20.56m aluminium GBB mono-hull vessel. She runs 2 x V10 MAN motors. There is the ability to sleep 5 people in the comfortable accommodation and has a large galley. There is a toilet, shower on board.

Arrow is surveyed for Fishing, Passenger, Non-Passenger, Towing.  Her planned activities will be netting, long lining, cray fishing and commissioned commercial work around New Zealand

Henry Brennan started his fishing career working for Splashzone when he was 16 years old. He then went off to work on various boats and fisheries until returning back to Splashzone when he was 24.

Henry then skippered FV “Pearler” for ECF Ltd in Gisborne for five years before embarking on his overseas adventure to the UK.

He returned to New Zealand and has been skippering various vessels; Surface Long Lining and Bottom Long Lining since 2015.

In 2020, Henry has returned to Splashzone Marine Ltd as Skipper on FV “Arrow”

Adam joined our Company straight from Chanel College, Masterton in 2014. He spent 8 months in Gisborne working on FV “Pearler”, wetfishing and crayfishing.

Adam returned to Masterton and joined our team, crayfishing, wetfishing and paua diving on Splashzone II, Jeany-K and Waterways. Fishing from Flat Point, Ocean Beach and New Plymouth.

Adam is an integral part in our team, he is very keen to learn. He has learnt the old fashion way of how to make pots and nets, pot welding, engine maintenance and is always ready to go fishing.

In his spare time, Adam often goes fishing or diving at Mataikona, Castlepoint and Ocean Beach. He would like to gain more experience by fishing and diving overseas.  Adam has gained his Skippers ticket and would like to run his own boat one day.

Taylor Brough was born in Nelson and attended Motueka High School. He joined his father (who is an engineer) on a Deep Sea Fishing Vessel at the age of 16,  where he spent four years gaining experience. He also spent 3 years on the Inshore Mussel Boats.

Now Taylor has joined our team working on Arrow. He brings a cheeky smile and plenty of enthusiasm.
